At Perspectiva, we can ‘get a bit nerdy’ about governance and leadership concepts and theory. We also know that the value of such perspectives is in how they challenge or broaden our thinking and in how they are applied.
 
All leaders must build core management skills, yet in today’s complex work world, leaders need to also think and work systemically. We design and facilitate targeted learning programs, and work alongside intact boards and executive teams to sharpen their decision-making practices in real time, so they can better navigate and shape complex systems.

Examples of work


Examples of work we have done recently to shape board, executive and team performance include:

  • Worked with new Chair of established cross-agency board, tasked with whole of system reform, to set strong foundations for the delivery of the Board's obligations.

  • Worked with executive team of an independent national child, youth and family services provider and early education specialist to establish productive strategic meeting patterns and develop robust decision-making practices.

  • Led the delivery and evaluation of a learning program for a major Australian hospital to shift service quality and staff engagement. To address a culture that tolerated low-level incivility within and across medical teams and functional areas, the program featured ‘moments-that-matter’, bringing real (but anonymised) incidents to life in scenarios that challenged participants to respond.

  • Designed and embedded a wellbeing and resilience framework through a longitudinal learning program that was proven to increase resilience practices of leaders in a range of organisational contexts, from infrastructure to utilities.

  • Designed and implemented talent development program across executive, middle manager and team leader audiences in a private health insurance organisation. The multi-day leadership programs were underpinned by the evidence-based capability framework, developed through targeted consultation.
